Disinfect the worktop, utensils and container. This serum contains a lot of water and stays on the skin, so hygiene is not a minor detail: it is part of the formula.

Prepare the aqueous base

Weigh the water, glycerine and propanediol. Mix until the phase looks uniform. If you notice differences in density, keep mixing a little longer before moving on to the gelling agent.

Add Siligel 3 Room temperature

Add Siligel

Sprinkle in Siligel little by little while stirring. The idea is to achieve a light gel serum, not a very firm jelly. If small lumps appear, allow a few minutes for hydration and mix again.

Incorporate the marine ferment when cold 4 <40 °C

Once the mixture is below 40 °C, add the Alteromonas Marine Ferment. Mix gently until distributed. If the ingredient has a little sediment in its container, shake it before weighing.

Add Geogard 221 / Cosgard and mix again. Do not leave it until the end without mixing thoroughly: in an aqueous formula, the preservative needs to be distributed throughout the serum.

Measure the final pH. The aim is to stay around pH 5,0-5,8 and always within the range compatible with this active ingredient. If you need to lower the pH, use a 20% citric acid solution drop by drop.

Leave to rest for 24 hours. Check whether the texture holds, whether separation appears, whether the smell changes or whether the colour shifts. If you want perfect transparency, validate this before considering the formula satisfactory.

Apply a small amount to clean skin before the cream or final oil-based product. For sensitive skin, test on a small area first and observe tolerance.
