Essential oils reconstructed from 100% pure oils, which reduces the price and makes them perfect for your lye soaps or cosmetics, including lip balms!

None of the essential oils you will find in this section have therapeutic value, but they are perfect for giving your creations that unmistakable scent. If the INCI lists the botanical name followed by the word "parfum", it means that it contains a % of pure essential oil. If only "parfum" appears, it means that it is 100% synthetic.

What is a nature-identical, reconstructed or commercial-grade essential oil made of?

Generally, they consist of a % of pure essential oil (20,30,50%...) to which the missing natural and/or synthetic aromatic molecules are added to create a scent almost identical to (and in many cases even more pleasant than) the pure essential oil.

When can a pure essential oil not be used to create a nature-identical preparation?

The answer is common sense. For example, neroli is a highly prized, expensive essential oil whose price does not fall below 6000 € / kilo. Would a fraction of the essential oil therefore be used to reconstruct it? The answer is no as it would not be economically viable.
However, nature-identical neroli preparations exist with a very successful and pleasant fragrance, but they would be 100% synthetic. We will add one to this section later.

Do these essential oils accelerate trace?

There can be many reasons why trace accelerates in soap, and essences, fragrances or flavourings containing alcohol (especially floral ones) make it go rock-hard quickly. Fortunately, these essential oils do NOT contain alcohol, propylene glycol or derivatives, so they do not accelerate trace..
