Very light aqueous formula with Alteromonas Marine Ferment at 2,5%, intended for a fresh application before serum or cream.

Save to favourites

About this recipe. A very light aqueous essence, midway between a toner and a serum, formulated to evaluate Alteromonas Marine Ferment at 2,5% as the main active ingredient. The texture is kept fluid so that it can be applied with the hands or from a dispensing container.

Why these ingredients are used.

  • Alteromonas Marine Ferment is the main active ingredient and is incorporated cold to follow its usage recommendation.
  • Propanediol and glycerine provide immediate hydration and improve slip without making the formula sticky.
  • A low level of Siligel helps give the essence more body than plain water and makes application more comfortable.
  • Geogard 221 / Cosgard protects the aqueous formula, always within its pH range.

This is an indicative suggestion. Preservation, pH, stability, smell, colour, appearance and tolerance must be validated before regular use or marketing.

Step by step

Disinfect and prepare 1 Room temperature

Disinfect and prepare

Clean the worktop and disinfect everything that will touch the formula. With an aqueous essence, there is no room for using any old beaker or an unclean spoon.

Mix the base 2 Room temperature

Mix the base

Weigh the water, propanediol and glycerine. Mix slowly until the phase is uniform. This base should be light, without foam or denser areas.

Give it a very soft texture 3 Room temperature

Give it a very soft texture

Sprinkle in the Siligel gradually. The usage level is low, so do not expect a thick gel. The aim is to give the essence a little more body on application.

Wait a few minutes 4 Room temperature

Wait a few minutes

Allow to hydrate for 10-15 minutes and mix again. If spots of powder remain, do not continue adding ingredients yet: first achieve a uniform base.

Incorporate the marine ferment 5 <40 °C

Incorporate the marine ferment

Add the Alteromonas Marine Ferment below 40 °C and mix gently. If the ingredient has natural sediment in its container, shake it first to distribute it evenly before weighing.

Add the preservative 6 Room temperature

Add the preservative

Incorporate Geogard 221 / Cosgard and mix until the formula is uniform. Even though the texture is very liquid, it needs adequate preservation because it contains water.

Adjust the pH gradually 7 Room temperature

Adjust the pH gradually

Measure the final pH. If adjustment is needed, use a 20% citric acid solution drop by drop, mixing and measuring again. Keeping the pH within the recommended range is part of the formula's safety.

Rest and package Final Room temperature

Rest and package

Leave to rest for 24 hours and check the smell, colour, transparency or opalescence, separation and viscosity. Package in a clean bottle with a dispenser. If using a spray, validate that it does not clog.

Preservation, shelf life and validation

  • Indicative leave-on product formula.
  • Add the Alteromonas Marine Ferment below 40 °C.
  • Do not use immediately around the eyes without specific validation.
