Alteromonas Marine Ferment

A biotechnological cosmetic active ingredient based on exopolysaccharides from Alteromonas macleodii in a plant-derived water-and-glycol solution, designed for moisturising and skin comfort formulas. It is a raw material of particular interest for aqueous serums, moisturising gels, light emulsions and facial or body care products where an improved feeling of hydration, softness and comfort is desired.

Marine exopolysaccharides are polymers capable of retaining water and providing a very fine film with sensory benefits. In formulation, this ingredient is intended as a supporting active ingredient for dehydrated skin, skin that feels tight or skin exposed to frequent cleansing.

• Shake before use, particularly if a deposit is visible.
• Avoid combining with amines to prevent possible Maillard reactions.
