Description
- Plant-derived (maize) from sustainable cultivation.

There are two types of propanediol, distinguished by the source used to extract them. The more common, less expensive type comes from genetically modified maize grown by extensive farming. The other is the one presented here: the only Ecocert-certified version in the world, from sustainable crops grown without pesticides.
It can be used as a substitute for propylene glycol (which comes from the petrochemical industry) for people who are allergic to it. It is an excellent skin humectant and emollient.
