Description

Our balsam fir essential oil, Abies balsamea, comes from certified Canadian forests where the trees grow wild at moderate altitudes in cold, dry climatic conditions. The raw material comes exclusively from pruning residues: fresh needles and small branches are collected sustainably, without felling trees or harming the ecosystem.

Steam distillation takes place in small, controlled batches, preserving the molecular integrity of the aromatic profile. The result is a clear essential oil with a fresh, resinous, penetrating aroma and a sweet, terpenic base reminiscent of the boreal forest.

Its composition is dominated by alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, bornyl acetate and limonene, molecules responsible for both its olfactory character and its interest in cosmetic and wellbeing applications.
