Description

Norway spruce is well known throughout much of Europe as a familiar Christmas tree. It is also called red fir in Spanish because of its reddish bark. It is a robust, long-lived tree that can reach 50 metres in height and live for more than 300 years.
Its wood is used for numerous purposes: joinery, furniture, paper-making and even musical instruments.
For the Celts, it was a life-bearing tree, and in Greek mythology it was associated with Artemis, goddess of wildlife, Nature and the moon.
The essential oil is obtained from pruned branches.

Its aroma is particularly pleasant, refreshing and comforting.
It clears both the mind and the airways.
