Prepare a facial formula with care

Disinfect the utensils and container thoroughly. As this is a facial formula, prepare a small amount if it is a trial, and do not use it near the eyes without specific validation.

Mix the aqueous phase

Mix the water, glycerine and panthenol until uniform. Add the xanthan gum very gradually if you want a liquid with slightly more body. If you prefer a water-like texture, you can consider leaving it out in another test.

Add Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate and Decyl Glucoside, using slow movements. Do not stir vigorously. The aim is gentle cleaning, not lots of foam.

Add the preservative and mix. Measure the pH. Adjust drop by drop if necessary. For facial products, do not improvise with pH: if you cannot measure it, do not consider the formula complete.

Allow to rest and check clarity 5 Room temperature

Allow to rest and check clarity

Leave to rest for 24 hours. Check that it is clear or slightly opalescent, that there is no separation and that the smell is normal. A little surface foam may disappear during resting.

Apply a small amount to damp skin or with a cotton pad, massage gently and rinse. Do not treat it as a leave-on product unless it is reformulated and validated for that use.
