Formula objective. A gentle cleansing spray for washable surfaces with Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside as the main ingredient. The formula is intended to evaluate its ability as a non-ionic surfactant and solubiliser in light household cleaning.

Clean the beaker, spatula and spray container. This formula is liquid and used as a spray, so the container must close securely and spray evenly.

Add the distilled water to the main beaker and work at room temperature. There is no need to heat this formula.

Although this may seem a very simple step, weigh the water precisely: in a cleaning spray, small changes can alter the surfactant concentration, preservative and spraying behaviour.

If preparing a larger quantity, do not fill the beaker to the top. Leave enough space to stir afterwards without splashing or generating unnecessary foam.

Add Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside

Add Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside little by little and stir slowly until evenly distributed. In this recipe, it is the main ingredient for cleaning and solubilisation.

Complete with Decyl Glucoside 4 Room temperature

Complete with Decyl Glucoside

Add a small amount of Decyl Glucoside. Its role is to support cleaning, not to replace Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside. Mix without whisking to avoid generating unnecessary foam.

Add Geogard 221 / Cosgard and mix. Measure the pH and adjust with diluted citric acid if necessary. Do this drop by drop and measure again before adding more.

Leave to rest for 24 hours. If it is uniform, package it and test on a small area of the surface first. Do not use it as a disinfectant or on delicate surfaces without validation.
