Description

Yuzu is a citrus fruit native to Asia, specifically China and Tibet, and is particularly popular in Japan and Korea. It resembles a small mandarin or lemon, but its flavour is distinctive, complex and refreshing, combining citrus and herbal notes. It is acidic, with hints of mandarin, lemon and grapefruit, as well as floral and herbal touches. It is widely used to flavour dishes.

The wild variety we supplied for two years is no longer available (these were limited trial productions). Our forthcoming batches will be steam-distilled from the peel, rather than obtained by first pressing.
It still comes from protected areas without intensive cultivation, making the product exceptional.
