Green Vetiver Essential Oil - Ruh Khus

Description

Vetiver is a plant belonging to the same family as Palmarosa and Lemongrass. It is native to India and Indonesia, where it grows in tropical regions. The plant is traditionally used to prevent soil erosion and control water run-off in tropical areas.
Therapeutically, it is traditionally used for relaxation and calming, and also to repel insects.
Vetiver essential oil is one of the most important ingredients in perfumery. It is used as a fixative and is a prominent base note in men's fragrances, to which it adds a leathery, earthy note.

Green Vetiver Oil is a natural essential oil produced by steam distillation, using a method somewhat different from that used for other essential oils, with ancient, traditional techniques involving copper vessels.
This process produces a very low yield and gives the oil its characteristic emerald green colour.

Appearance: Clear, emerald-green liquid.

Solubility: Soluble in alcohol and oil. Insoluble in water

Precautions

Not for use by pregnant or breastfeeding women, or children under six years of age.

Do not apply directly to the skin. Dilute in a carrier oil or follow the recommended usage rate for creams and other cosmetics. This rate should be 1% or 2% at most.
