Description
Cajeput belongs to the same genus as tea tree, niaouli and honey myrtle. This tree grows in Southwest Asia and Oceania, and the Dutch were apparently the first to record its existence. It reached Europe through them during the XVII century.
Its name comes from Malay and means “white tree”, referring to its bark colour. This tree is notable for its resistance to forest fires.
Its refreshing aroma, somewhat similar to eucalyptus radiata, clears the airways and the mind.
