Description

Our Organic Clementine Petitgrain Essential Oil comes directly from a producer in Corsica whose considerable experience, dedication and care bring us this marvel of woody, fresh and citrus notes. It is a private organic estate, and best of all, because production is not industrial, it preserves the magical, unique notes expected of a Premium product.

This, together with our unique Quality processes, ensures a first-class sensory experience.

Description

The origin of this fruit tree is unknown. According to recent studies, it is a hybrid between mandarin and orange trees, and the fruit was apparently named “Clementine” in honour of the reverend who may have been the “father” of this hybridisation, a Reverend Clement who lived in a monastery in Algeria.

Clementines are grown in various Mediterranean regions and extensively in Corsica, France.
The fruit is characterised by its very thin skin and lack of seeds, with a very sweet flavour and an aroma that clearly distinguishes it from mandarin.

The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves with the tiny green fruit that appears after flowering in spring.

Appearance: Clear liquid, orange to reddish orange

Solubility: Soluble in alcohol and oil
