Description
Honey myrtle is a medium-sized shrub native to Western Australia. Commonly called “Banbar”, this plant has long been used in traditional medicine by Aboriginal peoples in south-western Australia.
Honey myrtle essential oil offers properties very similar to those of other melaleucas (tea tree, cajeput, niaouli), but its aroma is entirely different.
It contains a significant amount of citrals (a combination of neral and geranial), which give it its aromatic identity. It is the Melaleuca with the highest citral content.
Its aroma is particularly appealing. Citrusy, fresh, sweet and sparkling, it is perfect for starting the day with joy and motivation.
Solubility: Soluble in alcohol and oil, insoluble in water.
Precautions
Do not use during the first three months of pregnancy or on children under 6 years of age.
