Description

Litsea citrata is a shrub grown mainly in China, India and Sri Lanka. The essential oil is extracted from its small, berry-like fruits.
It is called May Chang and is very popular in China and Thailand, where it is used for both medicinal and culinary purposes.
It has a pleasant, distinctly citrus aroma that inspires joy and optimism and invites us to relax.

It is one of the essential oils most suited to diffusion. It can also be used to flavour dishes and, of course, to scent soaps and cosmetics.
Some say that its rich fragrance attracts angels.
Therapeutically, this essential oil is of interest for treating fungal infections and digestive disorders, and for relieving musculoskeletal pain.

Appearance: Clear liquid, yellow to orange

Solubility: Soluble in alcohol and oil. Insoluble in water
