Gentle violet clay mask

Coloured mineral powder for preparing a rinse-off mask immediately before use.

Powder recipe to store dry and hydrate only at the time of use. Violet clay is used as the main powder, and the oats make application gentler. It is a visually appealing, simple recipe, always to be rinsed off. Do not store a mixture that has already been hydrated. As soon as water or hydrosol is added, the preservation risk changes and it would need to be reformulated with a preservative and validation.

Step by step

Prepare the dry equipment 1 Room temperature

Prepare the dry equipment

Prepare a large container, a spatula and a clean, completely dry jar. If moisture gets into the main jar, the mixture may clump and lose quality.

Weigh the powders 2 Room temperature

Weigh the powders

Weigh the Glam Violet Clay first, as it is the main ingredient. Then add the supporting powders slowly, without raising dust.

Mix and sieve 3 Room temperature

Mix and sieve

Fold the mixture until the colour and texture are uniform. If there are lumps, sieve and mix again.

Package and preserve 4 Room temperature

Package and preserve

Transfer to a clean, dry jar and close it tightly. Label it with the name and date, and keep it away from moisture or steam.

Prepare the portion to be used 5 Room temperature

Prepare the portion to be used

Take a small amount in a separate bowl and add water or hydrosol drop by drop until a comfortable paste forms. Do not add liquid to the main jar.

Apply, rinse and discard leftovers Final Room temperature

Apply, rinse and discard leftovers

Apply for just a few minutes the first time and rinse with plenty of water. If itching, excessive heat or irritation occurs, remove immediately. Do not keep the portion that has already been hydrated.

Preservation, shelf life and validation

  • Avoid inhaling fine dust during weighing and mixing. Do not apply to irritated skin, wounds, mucous membranes or the eye area.
  • Hydrate only the portion you are going to use and discard any leftovers that have already been wetted.
