Description
The Damask rose is probably a hybrid produced by crossing Rosa gallica and Rosa phoenicia, or perhaps Rosa moschata. The largest producer is Bulgaria, but it is also cultivated in Afghanistan, Turkey, Iran, Morocco and Egypt.
Considered the queen of flowers, it symbolises love, purity and passion. The rose is often associated with female deities (Venus or Aphrodite, Lakshmi) and the Virgin Mary.
Damask rose essential oil is obtained from the petals. Between 4 and 5 tonnes of petals are needed to obtain 1 litre of its precious essence. It is one of the most complex essential oils, with around 500 compounds described.
Rose essential oil is a great ally when we need to regain our emotional balance and navigate adverse life events.
We can turn to it for support during times of sadness, loss and life transitions, and whenever we seek a 100% natural perfume that will contribute to our emotional wellbeing.
It is a very interesting neurocosmetic and anti-ageing active ingredient.
It should be mentioned that rose essential oil solidifies in the cold (below 18 degrees). To return it to its liquid state, hold it in your hands for a moment or run the bottle under hot water.
Our 100% pure, organic Rose Otto Essential Oil is obtained by harvesting rose flowers from fields in the heart of Bulgaria's "Valley of Roses". It shares land with Organic Rosa Alba, so the entire description is exactly the same except for the harvest:
The combination of a unique climate and location with very favourable soil conditions has contributed for more than 300 years to producing organic Rose Otto Oil of incomparable quality.
There is only one harvest a year, around the second week of May, when Rose Otto begins to bloom. From then until the end of June, more than 250 pickers carefully gather each and every rose flower.
Harvesting begins at dawn, when oil yield is at its highest, and is completed before midday while the dew is still on the flowers.
The harvested flowers are placed in sacks and immediately transported to the distillery on the same plantation, where they are distilled at the end of that day.
The aroma of Rosa Damascena flowers is stronger and more concentrated than that of Organic Rosa Alba. It should be diluted to appreciate the full potential of its intoxicating aroma.

A gift for the senses. I do not even wear perfume, and one drop gives a fragrance capable of raising your vibrational frequency to the highest level. A fantasy. I also use it in applied zoopharmacognosy. In animals, it can release trauma and memories of abuse.
Pros: Lo recomiendo como un imprescindible.
