Description
Spearmint is a mint probably native to the Mediterranean basin. It is grown in many countries and consumed more widely in some than others. Classic Moroccan tea is made with this pleasant mint. It is often included in the well-known tabbouleh (a couscous-based salad typical of North African countries) or served with lettuce alongside Vietnamese nems (spring rolls).Also used in cocktails, particularly mojitos.
Its aroma is very pleasant and comforting. Many associate it with the smell of chlorophyll mint chewing gum.
