Description

Juniperus oxycedrus, commonly known as prickly juniper, is a species of juniper found in various regions of Europe, Western Asia and North Africa. This plant belongs to the Cupressaceae family and is valued for both its fruit and its wood.
Prickly juniper is an evergreen shrub or small tree that can reach heights of up to 5 metres. It has scaly, pointed leaves and greyish bark. Its fruits are small berries that are initially green and then turn dark red or dark brown as they ripen. These berries are rich in essential oils and are used for various purposes, including essential oil production.

Precautions

Must not be used by pregnant women or children. People with kidney problems must also avoid prolonged use.

Do not apply directly to the skin. Dilute in a carrier oil or follow the recommended usage rate for creams and other cosmetics. This rate should be 1% or 2% at most.
