This recipe is intended as an indicative household cleaning formula, not a cosmetic. It uses a potassium soap base with an alkaline pH, so it must not be treated as a shower gel or facial cleanser. Potassium Cocoate is used at 20%, the indicative upper limit stated in the data sheet for household cleaning, so that it defines the detergency and soapy character of the formula. It must be prepared in a small batch and validated before scaling up: pH, smell, colour, container compatibility, stability, separation and performance on the surfaces where it will be used.

Clean the workspace and prepare a mixing beaker, spatula, scales, pH meter and final container. Wear gloves if handling a larger quantity or if you have sensitive skin.

Although this is a simple recipe, it uses an alkaline soap base, so it is advisable to avoid splashes and work slowly.

Weigh the distilled water, then add Potassium Cocoate little by little. It is the main ingredient and should be mixed without vigorous whisking.

If you stir too energetically, foam will appear and make it difficult to see whether the mixture is truly uniform.

Add the glycerine and mix slowly. Its role here is to modify the feel slightly and help the formula feel less dry during handling.

Do not add fragrance, essential oils or colourants to this base formula until stability and compatibility have been validated.

Measure and record the final pH. It is expected to be alkaline because of the nature of the soap base.

Do not try to lower it to pH 5-6 as though it were a shower gel. With potassium soaps, aggressive acidification can break the formula or cause precipitation.

Transfer to a clean bottle that is resistant to the product. Label it with the name, date and a household-use warning.

Do not present it as a cosmetic or disinfectant. It is a proposed soap-based cleaner that must be validated on the surfaces where it will be used.

Before general use, test a small amount on an inconspicuous area. Rinse if a soapy residue remains or if the surface requires it.

Avoid marble, natural stone, untested aluminium and delicate surfaces sensitive to alkaline products.
