Potassium Cocoate is a potassium salt derived from coconut oil, recognised for its cleansing and emollient properties. It contains glycerine, which acts as a natural moisturiser in personal care formulations.

It is an anionic surfactant obtained from coconut oil, widely recognised for its biodegradability and gentleness on the skin. It is a liquid potassium soap that acts as a cleansing, emulsifying and foaming agent in personal care and cleaning products.

This surfactant is mainly used in personal care formulations such as liquid soaps, shower gels and shampoos, and in household cleaning products, including dishwashing soaps and multipurpose cleaners. Its versatility and natural origin make it ideal for products focused on sustainability and gentle cleansing.

How to use it

Potassium Cocoate is incorporated into the water phase of the formulation. It is water-soluble and can be added directly to the final product, depending on the formulation type and process. It is recommended to adjust the formula’s pH at the end of preparation to ensure stability and skin compatibility.

Typical dosage:

Personal care products: 3% - 15%
Household cleaning products: 5% - 20%
