About this recipe. An anhydrous body oil in which Isostearyl Isostearate is formulated at 70% to make it the main contributor to sensory feel. The formula is intended to evaluate its rich feel, spreadability and ability to leave a comfortable film on the skin.
Why these ingredients are used.
- Isostearyl Isostearate provides the main feel: emollience, slip and an enveloping finish.
- Almond oil completes the oil phase and improves massage.
- Vitamin E helps protect the oil system against premature oxidation.
This is a very simple formula, useful for learning to evaluate emollients. It contains no water, so it requires neither a preservative nor pH measurement.
