Camelina is a little-known herbaceous plant from northern Europe and Asia. Since the Bronze Age, its oil-rich nature has led to its use in making fuel, now known as biodiesel.

Another long-standing use is in cosmetics, as it contains vitamin E and a large amount of omega 3, around 40% of its total fatty acids. The latter naturally controls inflammation in the skin, reducing redness and irritation caused by external factors or allergies. It also helps with psoriasis and eczema.
