Description

Thanks to its low moisture content, this soap does not sweat on its own, despite being completely natural (with no compounds to prevent soap sweating). It can therefore also accommodate up to 5% hydrosols, water and/or juices such as aloe vera. It also has a high capacity for incorporating additives and extra oils, making it ideal for therapeutic soaps. Its beige colour comes from coconut oil, and it is harder than familiar soap bases. This means it crumbles into small pieces when cut, but once melted and poured into a mould it sets like any other soap.
This base is free from SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) and parabens, making it suitable for the most sensitive skin.

How to use:

Melt the soap base.
Add oils, hydrosols or other ingredients.
Pour into a mould and spray with alcohol to remove unwanted surface bubbles.
Leave to stand until it hardens again.
If the location or time of year is particularly humid, wrap the soaps in cellophane to prevent sweating (small droplets forming on the soap). This occurs because soap is hygroscopic, meaning it tends to absorb moisture from the air.
