Description

Plant-derived Kappa emulsifier

An anionic emulsifier of plant origin for preparing O/W emulsions with good body, an elegant texture and a profile suited to natural formulation. It consists of polyglyceryl esters of botanical waxes, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol and sodium stearoyl lactylate.

Of interest in facial, body, sun care and hair creams, and make-up, particularly when a natural emulsion with structure and good viscosity is desired.

Characteristics

Anionic emulsifier in the form of a waxy solid.
Documented recommended usage rate: 4% - 6%.
A higher percentage increases emulsion viscosity.
Insoluble in water; soluble in vegetable oils at 60 °C.
Approved by ECOCERT Greenlife under the COSMOS standard; not certified organic.
NATRUE-approved raw material according to the reviewed documentation.
RSPO / MB certified at origin.

Use in formulation

Incorporate into the hot oil phase until completely melted.
The data sheet documents solubility in vegetable oils at 60 °C.
Validate pH, stability, viscosity, sensory properties and compatibility with active ingredients in the final formula.
Not recommended for oral hygiene products according to the reviewed data sheet.
