Manuka essential oil has gained a reputation for being 30 times more potent than tea tree oil. It is particularly renowned for its anti-infective properties.
Manuka honey is also very famous and is among the most expensive honeys in the world.
The aroma of manuka essential oil is difficult to describe. It is not particularly appealing; some say it resembles a certain body odour (without naming one).
