Description

It can be found as a mineral in nature or produced artificially.

A white or almost white, odourless crystalline powder.

Soluble in water, practically insoluble in 96% ethanol.



Uses and Properties of Sodium Bicarbonate

pH regulator in cosmetic preparations.

It can also be used for acid burns, as its alkaline nature neutralises acids.

It helps disinfect the skin and reduce inflammation, making it perfect for acne.

Also for facial and body hygiene, it is an excellent cleanser and exfoliant, leaving the skin soft, smooth and free from dead cells.

It is also effective at eliminating odours.

It can also be used as a soothing mask after hair removal.

A great ally for personal hygiene, including washing feet, nails...

Mixed with a little lemon juice and olive oil, it instantly makes a great remedy for pigmentation caused by sun exposure and ageing.

It can be used to make deodorants, creams, lotions, gels, shampoos...

I also use it a lot for cleaning, combined with a homemade, environmentally friendly cleaner I make with lemon peel. What I would really like is to be able to buy these products in bulk by directly refilling the containers I already have, to avoid producing more plastic.

Lo utilizo para desodorante en crema

Lo utilizo para desodorante en crema, hecho con aceite de coco y una gotita de aceite esencial de verbena. También lo uso mucho para limpiar, combinado con un limpiador también casero y ecológico que hago con cáscaras de limón. Lo que sí que me gustaría es que estos productos se pudieran comprar a granel rellenando directamente los envases que ya tengo, para evitar producir más plástico.
