Description
Sodium benzoate is a sodium salt of benzoic acid. It comes as a slightly hygroscopic white powder, soluble in water and 90% ethanol.It is incompatible with acids, pH>5, ferric and calcium salts, gelatins, heavy metal salts, kaolin, quaternary compounds and non-ionic surfactants.

Pros: No deja olor en las preparaciones y es muy fácil de usar, disolverse en un poquito de agua y añadirlo al final.
Cons: Para que sea efectivo debe usarse junto a otros conservantes como el dorado de potasio.
Es efectivo en rango de ph por debajo d 6, así en ph superior no funciona.
