Description
Bentonite clay (also known as montmorillonite) is a clay found in volcanic and sedimentary areas, whose composition comprises more than 70 minerals.
It is the most effective clay, with strong detoxifying, remineralising and absorbent properties.
Our bentonite clay is filtered, has a fine particle size and is suitable for cosmetic use, so you can safely benefit from its many qualities.
Important information
Bentonite clay (like titanium dioxide) comes in many grades, and this should not be overlooked.
This clay is extracted from areas with a high concentration of heavy metals and must be selected, filtered and certified for cosmetic use.
Unfiltered clay is used in civil engineering, construction, paint manufacture, lubricants, rock wool and metal casting.
Cosmetic-grade bentonite clay undergoes selection and filtration, so it contains no heavy metals (the amount is minute) and offers a finer particle size with an ideal feel.
Other characteristics:
- Heavy metal content: < 50 ppm
- Coarse particles: < 0.15%.
- Loss on drying: < 6.40.
- Absorption capacity: 24,3 ml
- Sediment volume: 1.15.
