Description
White Kaolin Clay of the highest quality, purified (toxic heavy metals removed by microfiltration) and non-irradiated.
This clay is oven-dried rather than sun-dried to ensure that naturally occurring bacteria and microorganisms remain at levels suitable for use in cosmetics that contact mucous membranes, such as toothpastes.
Whether making a face mask or adding it to soap, you will quickly notice the difference: a silky feel that only a quality clay can provide.
It has a small particle size (not nanoparticles). Ordinary clays usually have a particle size of between 75 - 100 microns, making them more exfoliating, but often excessively so. Our clays have a particle size of between 2 and 10 microns!
It is important to know that not all clays are the same. They are generally used to make paints, fibreglass, adhesives or ceramics, which do not require a filtration process and may contain harmful particles such as quartz dust at levels above 10%.
How This White Kaolin Clay Is Extracted
Our Kaolin is a natural mineral extracted mechanically, ground, microfiltered, oven-dried and packed. It contains no added chemical additives.
Chemically, it is hydrated aluminium silicate and contains less than 1% respirable quartz, so it is safe and is not classified as an impurity.
