What is Probiocin V®?

It is one of the most important worldwide innovations in 100% natural, sustainable preservatives, also used as a hair vitamin complex. Numerous studies have been carried out on men's and women's scalps, with fully visible results after 4 weeks of use.
Here are some of its features:

• ProBiocin V TM is an antimicrobial personal care solution based on peptide technology, promoting healthier, more hydrated and balanced skin and scalp.
• A natural product, accepted by ECOCERT and suitable for vegans.
• Lactobacillus also produce new antimicrobial peptides, bacteriocins, which provide broader-spectrum antimicrobial protection.
• Prebiotic fructans from chicory oligosaccharides are introduced into the Lactobacillus growth medium during fermentation. These prebiotics act as a substrate, selectively stimulating the growth of beneficial microorganisms naturally present on the skin, thereby reducing the potential proliferation of harmful or pathogenic bacteria.
• The ability of ProBiocin V TM to inhibit the growth of various bacteria and fungi was determined using the MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) test, at 2%-4% and pH values of 3, 5 and 7 in cream bases inoculated with E. coli, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, C. albicans and A. brasiliensis, and at 4% in a generic shampoo formula inoculated with Malasezzia furfur.
  The results showed that Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi and mould, were reduced by 99,9% within 30 seconds of inoculation.
• Studies carried out with various participants to determine the scalp benefits of ProBiocin V TM found the following results:
  When shampoo and conditioner bases containing 4% ProBiocin V TM were used in a regular washing routine of 3 times a week for 2 weeks, overall scalp hydration increased by 88,26% and overall scalp erythema decreased by 55,31% compared with the start of treatment.
• Studies using in-vivo VISIA Image Analysis technology with various participants to determine the effects of ProBiocin V TM on areas of facial redness found the following results:
  When lotion bases containing 4% ProBiocin V TM were applied over a 6-week treatment period, areas of facial redness were reduced by 25,8% after 4 weeks of treatment. 2 weeks after treatment ended, a 13,81% reduction in redness was still evident.
• As a result, these new natural antimicrobial compounds are considered self-preserving cosmetic actives and therefore eco-friendly alternatives to synthetic preservatives across a wide range of cosmetic applications, particularly hair care and the reduction of erythema and redness on the skin and scalp.

For the best results, we recommend adding it when the final product is below 40ºC.

Recommendations for Use:

From 2% to 4%. At the recommended concentrations, the product is harmless to the skin.
