Description
This Fine Lavender Hydrosol is on another level, thanks both to the type of Lavender it comes from and to its distillation in copper, followed by microfiltration to remove impurities, bacteria, spores, fungi and the like.
Because it does not contain the solid residues normally found in a natural product, it lasts longer without needing an added preservative.
It has a more pleasant, gentler scent than ordinary Lavender Hydrosol, so its price, which is higher than the conventional version, is more than justified.
What is a Hydrosol?
Hydrosols are the water resulting from essential oil distillation. They are composed of 99% water, with the remaining 1% containing a small proportion of the components of the essential oil distilled.
Hydrosols are often confused with waters, mainly because they are called Floral Waters in other countries. Waters contain preservatives and may be natural and/or synthetic, whereas a Hydrosol contains no preservative of any kind. Its price is higher and, because it contains no preservative, a Hydrosol has a much shorter shelf life (between 6 months and a year) than a Water.
