Description
Olivardilla is a robust plant with an intense scent. When you approach a wild area with Olivardilla, you can see that there are hardly any insects or other plants around it. Before flowering, its stem becomes coated with a very sticky, aromatic resin that is also incredibly effective at promoting wound healing.
Distilling its essential oil is complicated by its high Bornyl Acetate content, and if the temperature is not managed properly, it tends to emulsify with the water produced by distillation (hydrosol).
This is the case with the olivardilla hydrosol below, with an essential oil content of 0,7%, free from heavy metals and pesticides, and with an intensely appealing aroma. It is precisely this 0,7% that makes our hydrosol unique; you will not find its equal anywhere else ;).
A hydrosol normally has a content of between 0,002% and 0,1%.
