Description
Peppermint is a hybrid plant resulting from a cross between water mint and spearmint (Mentha spicata). It was apparently first observed in a cultivated spearmint field in England at the end of the XVII century. Cultivation began in England, Holland and Germany in the middle of the XVIII century. It is sterile and cannot reproduce from seed, but its complex root system allows it to spread easily and become distinctly invasive.
Mint has been cultivated and used for more than 4000 years, although it is uncertain which type is depicted in Egyptian hieroglyphic illustrations, particularly those found at Edfu. It has been established that the Egyptians used a type of mint to prepare sacred perfumes.
In Greece, mint was used therapeutically and also featured in mythology. Mintha was a nymph seduced by Hades. When his wife Persephone discovered them, she punished the nymph by turning her into a sterile plant: mint.
Mint is also one of the plants dedicated to Venus,
In imperial Rome, mint leaves were woven into bridal wreaths and scattered on the floor of the bridal chamber for their aphrodisiac qualities.
Today, peppermint is cultivated in many countries, including India, China, the United States, Japan and France…
Alongside tea tree and lavender, peppermint essential oil is probably one of the best known and most widely used. In Germany, it is commonly used to relieve headaches and clear a blocked nose.
Its pleasant, refreshing aroma is unmistakable.
In aromatherapy, peppermint essential oil is used to relieve various types of pain and digestive disorders.
Appearance: Clear liquid, ranging from colourless to very pale yellow

I love its scent. I use it with a carrier for leg massages when my legs feel heavy, or for muscle pain because of its cold-warm effect.

This is my second time buying it. For me, it is indispensable for my scalp because I have seborrhoeic dermatitis and a lot of hair loss. I cannot use any commercial products because they make the dermatitis worse, so I use this after washing in my own recipe to soothe the itching and stimulate circulation. Thanks to this, the hair loss and itching have stopped. I make it into a lotion. Delivery was great as always, and cash on delivery is very practical for me
Pros: Puedo añadirlo a cualquier cosa: champu, mascarilla, lociones
