Description

Lavanda viridis is an endemic plant also known as green lavender or cantueso verde. It grows naturally in the southern Iberian Peninsula, more specifically in the Sierra de Aracena, the Sierra Norte of Seville and Andévalo. It is also found in the Azores and Madeira.
Its green colour and tiny white flowers are striking.
It is not a very well-known or widely used essential oil in aromatherapy, although the plant has traditionally been used to treat colds, circulatory problems and headaches.
Studies show antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity.
