Description
Fragonia is a shrub native to Australia. Extraction of its essential oil began relatively recently. It was from 1996 onwards that Australian producers became interested in its potential and decided to produce it. The shrub was then known as “coarse tea tree”, but they decided to change its common name, calling it “Fragonia” (interestingly, this name was patented).
This is the only essential oil with a registered trademark.
Initially, its therapeutic properties were unknown, and experimentation continued until the first study appeared in 2006.
Fragonia essential oil has very interesting therapeutic properties and a particularly appealing scent. Dr Daniel Penoël has played an important role in developing knowledge of this essential oil's therapeutic properties and in bringing it to Europe.
He considers it a fundamental essential oil in aromatherapy.
Its scent is distinctive and certainly unique. The first thing to strike us is its respiratory action. Its pronounced yet restrained “Cineole” character gradually gives way to enveloping sweet and floral notes that very quickly create a deeply comforting sensation.
How Mi Cosmética Casera's Fragonia essential oil is obtained.
Our fragonia comes directly from a family of producers in Australia. The season begins towards the end of spring in Australia (November). For decades, they have walked through the forests of Wellard Nature Reserve, selecting and hand-picking the leaves and twig tips of the Agonis fragans shrub.
Stainless steel equipment and steam units are used, with pressure and temperature controlled. Given the experience and care that go into obtaining it, we are entirely convinced that your experience with this Wild Fragonia will be unique.
This essential oil is completely free from pesticides or any other contaminant.
According to information from the producer, fragonia essential oil is used to maintain healthy lung function, offering a powerful option when seeking to reduce the presence of bacterial, fungal or viral activity.
Emotionally and energetically, fragonia essential oil is used as a relaxant; it is restorative and deeply balancing, making it an excellent choice for supporting sleep.
