Description
Avocado oil is obtained from the pulp. It is rich in omega 9 and also contains omega 3 and 6, although in smaller proportions.It softens and protects the skin, restores elasticity and soothes delicate skin.
It is ideal for regenerating and restructuring mature skin.
Very nourishing, it is particularly suitable for the eye contour. Combine with helichrysum essential oil (max. 0,5%) for optimal results.
This oil is not particularly prone to oxidation. However, as with all plant oils, it keeps better when stored in a cool, dark place.

Taxonomy
Botanical name: Persea americana - Family: Lauraceae - Genus: Persea
The trunk has grey-green bark with longitudinal fissures. The alternate leaves have a 2–5 cm petiole and a blade that is generally glaucous on the underside, narrowly elliptical, ovate or obovate, 8–20 by 5–12 cm, leathery, green and sparsely hairy on the upper surface but densely hairy beneath, where it is yellowish brown and the midrib stands out; the base is wedge-shaped and the apex acute, with entire, more or less wavy margins.
The inflorescences are panicles 8–4 cm long with flowers of 5–6 mm and a densely hairy perianth, a very short tube and six oblong tepals measuring half a centimetre, the outer 3 being shorter. There are nine fertile stamens of about 4 mm, with hairy filaments arranged in three concentric circles. The ovary is ovoid, about 1,5 mm, densely hairy, with a similarly hairy style of 2,5 mm ending in a slightly expanded disc-shaped stigma.
The fruit is a large yellow-green or reddish-brown drupe, generally pear-shaped, sometimes ovoid or globose, measuring 8–18 cm, with a more or less bumpy, corky epicarp and fleshy, edible mesocarp. The latter closely surrounds a globular seed with a papery episperm (seed coat), without endosperm, of about 5–6 cm.3
