Description
Powdered Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a surfactant derived from plant fatty acids and Sarcosine (natural amines, an amino acid that occurs naturally in the body).
It is often used as a secondary surfactant to boost and improve foam in body washes, but also offers major benefits in shampoos or conditioners, as it is antistatic and improves hair flexibility.
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a gentle yet powerful hypoallergenic, non-irritating surfactant, with an excellent synergistic effect with other surfactants and exceptional creamy-foam properties. It reduces irritation and provides moisture.
Suitable for Vegans, it is plant-based and Biodegradable.
Uses and use level
Recommended use levels range from 1% to 5%, depending on the cosmetic, but can reach 40%.
Common uses: gentle baby shampoos, facial cleansers, liquid soaps, shaving products or toothpaste.
Solubility: Very soluble in water.
