Description
Our powdered Alum is Cosmetic Grade with USP / pHEur certification, specifically for cosmetics and other pharmaceutical uses. It is important to distinguish it from industrial alum (coarser, not fine), which is unsuitable because it contains heavy metals and its impurities are not filtered out.
Mineral Salt without toxic components.
Made up of potassium salts and aluminium sulphate, which is not absorbed through the skin because of its larger molecules and does not release aluminium itself.
Completely natural and very well tolerated by the skin.
It is a granular, white, loose, odourless powder that does not stain clothes.
Readily soluble in water, very soluble in boiling water, soluble in glycerol and practically insoluble in 96% ethanol.
