Description
Uses of Australian Sandalwood Essential Oil:
Through inhalation.
Reserve this essential oil for direct inhalation when psycho-emotional support is needed (see olfactology).
If you are looking for a natural perfume to enhance your “sex appeal”, this may be a good choice.
A solid perfume:
5 gr of shea butter
8 gr of jojoba carrier oil
1,5 gr of beeswax
1 drop of vitamin E
3 drops of ylang ylang essential oil
2 drops of Australian sandalwood essential oil
2 drops of orange blossom essential oil
2 drops of copaiba essential oil
Melt the wax with the butter and oil in a bain-marie. Once everything has melted thoroughly, remove from the heat and pour into a 15 ml aluminium tin. Wait for it to cool slightly without solidifying, then add the essential oils and vitamin E.
Topical use.
(Properly diluted in a carrier oil)
Sandalwood essential oil is particularly useful for skin care and as a neurocosmetic ingredient. A neurocosmetic is a product that cares for both our nervous system and our skin. Its characteristics promote skin health by encouraging the release of endorphins.
Thanks to its recognised anti-ageing properties, it is a luxurious active ingredient in any anti-wrinkle product. It is also valuable for dry, damaged or sensitive skin. It can be useful for couperose, acne, psoriasis or eczema.
It is an interesting ingredient for men's cosmetic products, such as a soothing aftershave lotion.
Anti-ageing neurocosmetic for him:
4 drops of frankincense essential oil
4 drops of copaiba essential oil
2 drops of Australian sandalwood essential oil
15 ml of jojoba carrier oil
2 drops of vitamin E
Anti-ageing neurocosmetic for her:
5 drops of frankincense essential oil
2 drops of Bulgarian rose essential oil
1 drop of Australian sandalwood essential oil
15 ml of jojoba carrier oil
2 drops of vitamin E
Apply 3 to 4 drops of the blend to the face, neck and décolletage, morning and evening.
This essential oil is suitable for relieving heavy legs, varicose veins or haemorrhoids. However, it is preferable to reserve it for other purposes, as many far more affordable essential oils are available for venous circulation.
Applications in olfactology (psycho-emotional well-being)
Sandalwood essential oil can be a good companion for meditation: it uplifts the spirit and calms the mind and emotions. It encourages concentration and introspection.
It is comforting, relieves anxiety and deeply relaxes, benefiting people who are stressed or tense. It helps us manage anger and frustration.
The masculine energy radiated by this essential oil is very powerful. Turn to it when you need strength to move forward, feel unprotected or lack masculine support in your life.
For these situations, preparing a roll-on is the most suitable approach:
Place 5 drops of Australian sandalwood essential oil in a 5 ml roll-on and top up with jojoba oil.
Apply as a perfume to the neck and wrists.
