One of the best-kept secrets of premium cosmetics is the use of Silica spheres as a dispersing agent. Thanks to this, adding them to liquid foundations, day creams or make-up powders improves the texture of any product you incorporate them into.
Important Information
There are at least 5 varieties of Silica Beads on the market. Their properties differ depending on particle size and surface area, and those we offer at Mi Cosmética Casera give the best performance.
Our Silica beads are of the highest quality, Ecocert Certified, with a particle size of 5μ (microns). A larger particle size does not mean greater coverage, quite the opposite:
Technical specifications
Surface area: 300 m2/g.
Other types of silica beads only cover between 50 and 150m2/g (those above 10μ (microns)).
Why it matters: you cover a larger surface with less product, improving the texture even further.Oil absorption capacity: 150ml per 100g.
Other types of Silica Beads only absorb between 35ml and 60ml per 100g. (those above 10μ (microns)).
