Native to India, Moringa is a tree that grows in almost any type of soil, even in conditions of severe seasonal aridity, making this plant a resource for the people living in these areas.
Our Moringa comes from Spain, from areas where the climatic conditions give it a unique colour, scent and composition.

Moringa is valued for its nutritional and medicinal properties. It is a source of proteins and vitamins. It is considered a "superfood" for good reason.
It helps combat fatigue, cholesterol or inflammatory processes and prevent infections. It has powerful antioxidant properties.

In cosmetics, it is an interesting active ingredient for revitalising dry or mature skin, purifying and stimulating hair growth.

Taxonomy

Botanical name: Moringa oleifera - Family: Moringaceae - Genus: Moringa

It is a deciduous tree with rapid growth, reaching around 3 m in its first year and up to 5 m in ideal conditions. At maturity, it reaches a maximum height of 10 or 12 m. It has brittle, drooping branches with corky bark and pale green, compound, tripinnate leaves 30 to 60 cm long, with many small leaflets measuring 1,3 to 2 cm long by 0,6 to 0,3 cm wide. It flowers seven months after planting. The fragrant flowers are white or cream-white and 2,5 cm in diameter. It produces hanging, brown, triangular pods 30 to 120 cm long by 1,8 cm wide, which split lengthwise into 3 parts when dry; each contains around twenty seeds embedded in the pith.
