Description
Hydrosols are the water obtained from essential oil distillation. They consist of 99% water, while the remaining 1% contains a small proportion of the constituents of the essential oil that was distilled.
Hydrosols are often confused with floral waters, mainly because they are called floral waters in other countries. Floral waters contain preservatives and may be natural and/or synthetic, whereas a hydrosol contains no preservatives. Hydrosols are more expensive and, because they contain no preservatives, have a much shorter shelf life (between 6 months and a year), so we recommend keeping them refrigerated.
