Description
Fragrance essences are blends of aromatic substances of natural and/or synthetic origin. In many cases, they consist of natural essential oils to which additional synthetic molecules are added to achieve the desired scent.
They differ from fragrances, as the latter contain alcohol and other excipients that make them more powerful.
Unlike fragrances, fragrance essences do not accelerate trace in cold-process soaps and can be added to natural cosmetic formulations.
They have no therapeutic properties and should only be used to add scent.
They are NOT essential oils.
