Our Sugar Ester is a non-ionic emulsifier of 100% plant origin, recognised for its superior ability to create and stabilise oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions across a wide range of applications. With an HLB value of 11, this emulsifier is ideal for formulations requiring exceptional stability and homogeneity.
As there are many varieties of "sucrose estearate" on the market, it is important to highlight that ours is specifically intended for the Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical industries, with exceptional properties and stability compared with food-grade versions.
It combines emulsifying effectiveness with safety and naturalness, meeting the most demanding expectations of the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
It is produced from natural sugars, such as cane sugar and beet sugar, and fatty acids derived from vegetable oils, such as palm and coconut oil (RSPO/MB certified to guarantee sustainability).

How to use it
Our Sugar Ester is ideal for formulations such as moisturising creams, lotions and haircare products, providing a smooth texture and homogeneous dispersion of active ingredients.
Use level: Between 1% and 5% is recommended, depending on the formulation and the specific requirements of the application.
Incorporation method: It can be dissolved in the oil phase or dispersed in the aqueous phase before emulsification, depending on the formulation.

Important information
Sugar ester is an effective emulsifier in water and oil emulsions, but in some cases it is not sufficient on its own to provide the desired stability and texture. Although sugar ester facilitates emulsion formation, the oil droplets in the emulsion may still tend to merge (coalescence) or separate over time. Xanthan gum helps stabilise the emulsion, preventing phase separation by increasing viscosity and creating a network that holds the oil droplets in the aqueous phase, as well as providing resistance to syneresis.
Stabilisation with Xanthan Gum would require between 0,2% and 0,3%
