Description

Zinc Stearate is a metal salt used as an opacifying, thickening and texturising agent in cosmetic formulations, particularly powders, creams and emulsions.

It provides a smooth texture, helps disperse pigments and improves adhesion in make-up and skin care products.

Characteristics

Solubility: Insoluble in water. Dispersible in oils and powders.
Application phase: Oil phase or powder phase.
Recommended dosage: 2% - 10%.
Ideal for powder make-up, creams, lotions, sunscreens and pressed products.

Precautions

The powder may cause irritation to the eyes and respiratory tract.
