Description
Coenzyme Q10 is a powerful antioxidant. According to some dermatological studies, when added to cosmetic formulations, coenzyme Q10 can reduce wrinkle depth and deliver a visible result after five weeks of continued use.
This is because, after topical application, oxidation in the skin and fine expression lines are reduced, while the breakdown of dermal collagen is slowed.
As an antioxidant substance, its effect on the skin is fundamental, as it controls the action of free radicals.
When applied regularly through cosmetic products, it helps repair any damage to the epidermis by increasing its thickness and elasticity.
Coenzyme Q10 is often found in body products (mainly firming products and regenerating hand and foot treatments), where it supports the natural process of body skin regeneration, markedly improving its elasticity.
