Charila powder is extracted from Parmelia perlata, also known as “stone flower”, a lichen that spreads irregularly, giving it a flower-like appearance. Other names include Chareela, Chadila and Pathar phool.Traditionally used for skin conditions, as its main active components (usnic acid and lecanoric acid) give it primarily antimicrobial and antifungal properties
