Description
Amisol™ Soft is an advanced oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier.
It is an expertly optimised combination of phospholipids and phytosterols; these form a lipid film on the skin's surface, restoring the protective function of the stratum corneum, reducing transepidermal water loss and ensuring optimal hydration.
Phospholipids catalyse the cornification of keratinocytes and, together with the other skin lipids, form the hydrolipidic barrier.
Benefits
- Phytosterols stimulate cellular synthesis (collagen, elastin).
- It is a plant-derived lamellar emulsifier that mimics the structure of the lipids in the stratum corneum for perfect biocompatibility.
- Amisol™ Soft is particularly recommended for formulating O/W emulsions.
How to formulate with Amisol™ Soft
- Indicative usage rate: 1% - 6% as a starting range in O/W emulsions. When using it as the main emulsifier, try 2% - 6%; as a co-emulsifier or sensory enhancer, >1%.
- Temperature: use a hot process. Melt completely in the oil phase and combine with the aqueous phase at a similar temperature, usually around 70-75 °C.
- Phase of addition: the hot oil phase. Do not add directly to the cold phase or to water without emulsifying.
- Solubility: oil-soluble/dispersible in heated oils, butters and emollients.
- Applications: creams, lotions, body milks and O/W facial emulsions with a soft, comfortable skin feel.
- Validation: adjust the usage rate according to the oil phase, desired viscosity, stability, packaging and preservative system. Carry out stability, final pH and compatibility testing before use or sale.

I could not get it to emulsify despite trying several times. There was no way; it always stayed liquid.
Cons: No emulsiona fácil, falta información para volver a probarla.
