Description
Mandelic Acid is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) obtained from bitter almonds.
It is an excellent skin-regenerating ingredient. Its high molecular weight allows it to penetrate the skin more slowly, making it gentler than other AHAs and suitable for dark and sensitive skin.
Its notable properties include lightening and reducing pigmentation in early sun spots and melasma, improving acne lesions and stimulating collagen fibres.
Its great versatility also allows it to be used as a gentle exfoliant or as an antibacterial agent with a Gram + spectrum.
It is soluble in water and ethanol, and its recommended dosage is from 4 to 10%.
For external use only, do not ingest.
